Suddenly, we have an insane desire to open a bottle of vin rouge and a packet of Gauloise.............. Your radio interview was great - well done, very natural, paticularly about your welcome in Paris.... Enjoy Maromme and the remainder of your day - you should have borrowed a powerboat for the next leg to Le Havre but, perhaps, that is not in the spirit of pilgrimage.....!

The route was 540 miles, from Paris where Jennifer and I honeymooned in 1986, to Oadby where I live and work today. It's a bit wiggly because friends, family, significant places and affordable accomodation don't fall on a straight line. Click here for a larger view.
