Walking verse for Day 10

I couldn't really make much of a personal connection with yesterday's walking verse, Esther 2.11: Every day Mordecai would walk around the court of the harem, to learn how Esther was and how she fared.

I have visions of Mordecai pacing up and down, anxious to find out if his cousin Esther was alright. The story of Esther is a wonderful account of heroism and the overcoming of evil. God is never in the foreground but it's apparent that in the workings of circumstance and through the faithfulness of those who know him, his purposes are worked out.

Lord, thank you that even when I don't see signs of your presence in events of the day, your ultimate victory over evil has already been won. Amen.
