How amazing - what a lovely clutch of photos all within a short space of time. Bet you were glad there was a ditch between you and the southerners. Do you know that you have turned my husband into a blog reader? An even more amazing sight than congregating caterpillars. I will just have to teach him how to access the comments and he may even blog you back (if that's what it's called) :) Praying God will continue to bless, inspire and watch over you and technical equipment regards Anona and John
Hi Simon Linda and I have just got back from our trip to Rouen. I printed off your comments on your time there and we took them with us. A very interesting place and a lovely 'old' town. We stayed by the cathedral. We too were fascinated with the Jeanne d'Arc church. We went back several times - a peaceful oasis in a busy town, it seemed to keep drawing us back. Having read your blog, we also decided to go across to the 'other' side of the river, to St Sever - a complete contrast to the tourist area. I now have a lot of reading to do to catch up with your travels! So far I've just had a look at the photos, they are beautiful. Take care, God bless Judi
I'm a 46 year old husband, father of two and vicar in the parish of Oadby, Leicestershire. Between Easter and Pentecost in 2009 I walked home from Paris to Oadby - a peculiar kind of pilgrimage.

Walking Home is now available as a 282 page book, in print and digital download.
Walking Home 2009
The route was 540 miles, from Paris where Jennifer and I honeymooned in 1986, to Oadby where I live and work today. It's a bit wiggly because friends, family, significant places and affordable accomodation don't fall on a straight line. Click here for a larger view.
