The route as I walked it

It was easier than I thought to retrieve the entire route of my walk from my phone, and get it onto Google Maps, via Memory-Map and Google Earth.

I've updated the Routes page of the blog, so follow the link to see where I actually went. You can also view the whole route in Google Earth.

  1. Hi Simon
would value a chat to see how you did all this and to have a play with your phone - an impressive piece of hardware! If you like we could trade a look at your phone with a play with my test mobile phone kindly supplied by Vodafone! And, of course, I am joking although you might enjoy the voice which gives out information such as 'Dedicated Mode' and 'Cell reselection' in what sounds like a female version of Arnold Schwartzeneger. I know, I must get out more.
On the technical front, I am sat virtually under a very large wind turbine at the moment and idly wondering what speed the tips of the blades are travelling at as they rotate - if I could Google up the blade length and count the rpm I should be able to work it out but, perhaps, I should get on with something more profitable (it is my lunchbreak, honest.....)
How are your legs/feet and are the Merrels walking around on their own at present???
    See you soon.

    C & A
