Sorry I've been silent for quite a while. I'm back up to date with your diary. The mixture of walks through the unfamiliar places en route and those that are part of your childhood or where close friends now live is quite marked. Whatever you're doing, whatever the experience, you still have that knack and freshness to get your feelings and emotions across to your avid readers. Thank you for that.
May you enjoy the last few days of your walk and savour them, without focusing too much on your destination and those you'll be meeting there (which would be quite understandable!).
I'm a 46 year old husband, father of two and vicar in the parish of Oadby, Leicestershire. Between Easter and Pentecost in 2009 I walked home from Paris to Oadby - a peculiar kind of pilgrimage.

Walking Home 2009
The route was 540 miles, from Paris where Jennifer and I honeymooned in 1986, to Oadby where I live and work today. It's a bit wiggly because friends, family, significant places and affordable accomodation don't fall on a straight line. Click here for a larger view.
