Day 23 - Resting in Bournemouth

I woke at a deliciously-lazy ten-thirty this morning. I'm usually fast asleep by ten at night but stayed up with Jenny and Chas, enjoying the squirming of the MPs on Question Time in response to anger about the expenses scandal.

My walking verse today was Ecclesiastes 10.3, "Even when fools walk on the road, they lack sense, and show everyone that they are fools."

Good job this was a stay-indoors day, then.

I've been helping Jenny build a replica of Nehemiah's walls of Jerusalem, for a service on Sunday. She entrusted me with the task for a couple of hours but has just returned and dismantled everything I made!

It's going to be a great day because tonight Jennifer and Phil are driving down and tomorrow, Jon will be joining us. The whole Harvey family together again for the first time in twenty-five days. I can't wait.

  1. Hi Simon
although we've been keeping an eye on your progress this week we've been a bit tardy with the comments - sorry! But, what a great weeks walking and a well earned break with your family over the next couple of days: hope that you all have a great time together (and, maybe, some sunshine?)
We will print off this weeks blog entries and put a couple of copies in St. Paul's tomorrow - the last lot 'walked' so people are wanting to know what you're up to!
Enjoyed the description of cliff-top walking and the picture - could almost smell the salt air but it's back to the CCD essay for me (groan....)
    Have a great weekend.
