Thanks for the messages of concern about my poorly leg, which is now on the mend. At one point I thought it might threaten the walk but it's holding up okay. I've got a rest day tomorrow so I'm hoping it will heal fast.
In case you missed the earlier post, I didn't hurt it en route, I fell in the shower three days ago.
Hi, Simon, Don't know whether you'll be reading this tonight or on Sunday morning. Either way, love reading your daily diary and the way you describe your surroundings: it's almost like being with you! Pleased to hear your leg is OK: that must have been quite a worry, to put it mildly.
Keep safe & continue to enjoy the walk in every way you intended. God bless.
I'm a 46 year old husband, father of two and vicar in the parish of Oadby, Leicestershire. Between Easter and Pentecost in 2009 I walked home from Paris to Oadby - a peculiar kind of pilgrimage.

Walking Home 2009
The route was 540 miles, from Paris where Jennifer and I honeymooned in 1986, to Oadby where I live and work today. It's a bit wiggly because friends, family, significant places and affordable accomodation don't fall on a straight line. Click here for a larger view.
